Electricity exports to China, Mongolia may grow in 2023 — Russian Energy Ministry

According to the Power Systems Development Program Plan, electricity exports in 2023 will total 12.33 bln kWh

MOSCOW, March 30. /TASS/. Electricity exports to China and Mongolia are assumed to grow in 2023, Deputy Energy Minister of Russia Pavel Snikkars told reporters.

"As regards the destination of China and Mongolia, I believe the indicator will stay flat or have a minor increase," the official said.

As regards the overall electricity exports from Russia, the forecast remains unchanged, the System Operator of the Russian United Energy System said. "Our forecast is as indicated in the Power Systems Development Program Plan," the company noted.

According to the Power Systems Development Program Plan, electricity exports in 2023 will total 12.33 bln kWh.
