Polyethylene pipe plant in DPR resumes operation after long downtime — official

It is reported that the plant also plans to open a new pipe fittings workshop in the near future

DONETSK, January 20. /TASS/. A plant producing polyethylene pipes for potable and technical water supply in Novy Svet settlement has returned to operations after eight years of downtime, Prime Minister of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Vitaly Khotsenko told TASS.

"The plant has been launched recently after eight years of downtime. It is important for our plants to be put into operation and have the full-scale functioning. The task for the near term is to use our local industrial products to restore the Republic and then we will endeavor to expand geography," Khotsenko said.

The plant also plans to open a new pipe fittings workshop in the near future, the official added.
