UNITED NATIONS, March 26. /TASS/. It is too early to share any information on the United Nations’ participation in efforts to ensure safe navigation in the Black Sea, Stephane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the UN secretary general, said at a briefing.
"It’s a little too early at this point to share more information," he noted in response to a question.
Dujarric added that UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary General Rebeca Grynspan, who had held consultations with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin in Moscow on Monday, was now on a visit to Turkey. However, he did not disclose the purpose of her trip.
The Kremlin announced earlier that Russia and the US had agreed to ensure the implementation of the Black Sea Initiative, "particularly ensuring safe navigation in the Black Sea, eliminating the use of force and and preventing the use of commercial vessels for military purposes.".
