Black Sea ceasefire compliance issue to be resolved, other countries involved — Trump

Russia and the United States agreed to continue work on achieving a lasting and durable peace

WASHINGTON, March 26. /TASS/. The issue of monitoring ceasefire compliance in the Black Sea will be resolved, other countries will be involved to ensure that, US President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House.

"We have other countries involved, and they're involved very strongly in the process, and that'll be resolved," he said in response to a corresponding question.

"We'll get that resolved. And we are being aided by other countries too," Trump added when asked which states might be involved in the monitoring process.

Earlier, the Kremlin released a statement on the results of expert consultations with Washington. According to it, Russia and the United States agreed to continue work on achieving a lasting and durable peace. In addition, the parties agreed to ensure the implementation of the Black Sea Initiative, including ensuring the safety of navigation, and also agreed to develop measures for a 30-day ceasefire on the energy facilities of Russia and Ukraine from March 18. The Russian-US Black Sea agreements will come into force after the lifting of sanctions on Russian banks that provide trade in the agricultural and industrial complex, the Kremlin said.
