NEW YORK, March 5. /TASS/. Representatives of the US Democratic Party who expressed support for Ukraine during US President Donald Trump's address to Congress hate their home country, businessman Elon Musk said.

"The only flag being waved and the only cheer by Democrats was for another country. They hate America," Musk wrote on his X page in response to a user comment noting that Democrats only applauded in response to Trump's words on Ukraine.

Earlier, Trump addressed the US House of Representatives and Senate with a speech on the situation in the country and domestic and foreign policy priorities.

Several Democrats tried to sabotage his speech. Congressman Al Green, a Democrat representing Texas, was escorted from the chamber by House Speaker Mike Johnson after he acted as a heckler and shouted down the US leader. Many Democrats wore Ukrainian insignia on their suits.
