TEL AVIV, October 25. /TASS/. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have detained 930 Palestinians, including 608 activists of the radical Palestinian group Hamas, which effectively rules the Gaza Strip, since October 7, when the long-simmering conflict exploded in a new round of violence after Hamas staged a surprise attack on Israeli territory from Gaza, the IDF press service reported.
"As of today, 930 wanted persons have been detained in counter-terrorism raids in the West Bank since the beginning of hostilities [on October 7], at least 608 of whom are tied to the Hamas terrorist organization," the IDF statement reads.
The IDF press service added that, during night raids in the West Bank on October 25, Israeli security forces "detained 68 wanted persons, 58 of whom are activists of the Hamas terrorist organization."
