Turkey resumes airstrikes on Iraqi Kurdistan — news portal

No information about casualties is available

MOSCOW, November 22. /TASS/. /TASS/. Turkey has resumed airstrikes on the territory of Iraqi Kurdistan in northern Iraq, Shafaq News reported on Tuesday, citing a source in the regional government.

According to the source, Turkish warplanes hit bases housing fighters from the Kurdistan Workers’ Party north of the city of Dahuk. No information about casualties is available.

Turkey has not yet commented on these reports.

Shafaq News said earlier on Tuesday, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC, the elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) also resumed bombardment of Iraqi Kurdistan, delivering several strikes south of the city of Erbil, Iraqi Kurdistan’s capital. The IRGC has confirmed its involvement in the attack, saying it was staged with the use of kamikaze drones and targeted "terrorist groups based on the territory of Iraqi Kurdistan."
