HELSINKI, November 5. /TASS/. The Russian Orthodox Church is not facing any restrictions in Finland at present, and recent seizures of Russian property have not affected it, a Church spokesperson told TASS.
"There are no problems at present. It is difficult to predict what developments may occur in the future," the spokesperson said.
The Russian Orthodox Church operates five places of worship and two parishes in Finland. These entities are primarily registered as Finnish economic entities and are under the canonical jurisdiction of the Moscow Patriarchate, the spokesperson added.
On October 29, the Helsinki Court informed TASS that movable and immovable Russian properties in Finland had been seized by a judgment dated August 13, following claims from six Ukrainian companies. More than 40 properties were seized, according to the Russian Embassy. In response, the diplomatic mission sent a strong protest note to the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
