MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Su-25 attack aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces thwarted the rotation of Ukrainian armed forces units in the Severodonetsk direction, the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

"Attack aviation crews on Su-25 aircraft thwarted the rotation of Ukrainian armed forces units in the Severodonetsk direction in the zone of the special military operation. The strike was carried out by unguided aircraft missiles at given coordinates," the report says.

The ministry clarified that after the use of aviation weapons, the crews performed an anti-missile maneuver, released heat flares and returned to the departure airfield. According to the reports of the forward aircraft gunner, all of the indicated targets were successfully hit. The flight went as usual.

"We received a combat mission to launch an air strike to thwart the rotation of Ukrainian armed forces units. We took off from the home airfield, entered the target area, entered a combat course, attacked targets with unguided aircraft missiles. After that we carried out active maneuvering, moving deep into our territory with the shooting of heat traps," said the Su-25 pilot with the call sign Lemur, he was quoted by the Defense Ministry.
