MOSCOW, March 29. /TASS/. Poland has issued more than 1,000 permits to exclude funds of Russian companies from sanctions for the total amount of more than 300 million euros since the beginning of the Russian special military operation in Ukraine, the Polish Finance Ministry announced in the Rzeczpospolita newspaper.
"In less than two years, the head of the National Tax Administration and the head of the customs and tax office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship in Wroclaw, who is in charge of companies on the sanctions list of the [Polish] Ministry of Internal Affairs, issued 1,307 permits to exclude funds [from sanctions] for a total amount 317 million euros," the ministry said in a statement in response to the newspaper’s request. It is noted that these measures mainly concerned funds to pay wages to company employees and to ensure obligations to counterparties.
In April 2022, the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs made a sanctions list of Russian companies operating in the country. As of March 27, 2024, it contained 72 legal entities.
