BERLIN, March 10. /TASS/. Ukraine’s army will not be able to continue fighting without fresh intelligence from Washington, Austrian military expert Colonel Markus Resiner said.
"The United States are sharing valuable intelligence with Ukraine. <…> If Ukraine doesn’t receive these data, it will be literally blind. History shows that armies which lose decisive support at such critical stages of a war, are often doomed," he said as quoted by the Austrian army’s press service.
According to the expert, the fact that Ukrainian troops are leaving Sudzha for the Sumy Region in small groups "clearly indicates" that they have been ordered to retreat. He drew parallels between Ukraine’s incursion into the Kursk Region and the Wehrmacht’s Ardennes offensive in December 1944, which was ultimately won by the Allied forces.
UK’s Daily Mail newspaper reported earlier that the United States was no longer sharing intelligence with Ukraine on the decision of US President Donald Trump. The newspaper pointed out that the country not only stopped sending US intelligence to Ukraine, but also banned the UK from sharing it with Kiev. A Pentagon spokesman responded to a TASS request to clarify whether the US was providing intelligence to Kiev by saying that the Defense Department had received orders to pause all assistance to Ukraine.
Trump suspended military assistance to Ukraine several days after his verbal exchange with Vladimir Zelensky during the latter’s visit to the United States on February 28. This decision took effect the morning of March 4 and applies to all U.S. military equipment not currently in Ukraine, including weapons on planes and ships or awaiting shipment in transit zones in Poland.
