Lukashenko reveals he was warned about possible Ukrainian attack on Belarus

"We were warned yesterday through unofficial channels about a strike on Belarus from the territory of Ukraine", the head of Belarus stressed

MINSK, October 10. /TASS/. Minsk was warned on Sunday about a possible Ukrainian strike against Belarus through unofficial channels, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said.

"We were warned yesterday through unofficial channels about a strike on Belarus from the territory of Ukraine. As it was stated: 'We will make it a Crimean bridge - 2.' My answer was simple: 'Tell the president of Ukraine and these other lunatics that the Crimean bridge will seem like a walk in the park if they touch even one meter of our territory with their dirty hands'," Lukashenko said at a meeting with military and security forces, according to the Pool One Telegram channel, close to the press service of the Belarusian president.

"<...> Consider it an order for you," the president told the military and security forces. Lukashenko recalled that he had already said that Ukraine "has not just discussed today, but planned to strike the territory of Belarus." "Of course, the Ukrainians absolutely do not need it. Why else would they want to open a second front on our southern borders and on their northern borders? What for? It's crazy from the military point of view. But nevertheless the process has started. Their masters are pushing them to unleash a war against Belarus in order to draw us into it. To deal with Russia and Belarus at the same time," the Belarusian president said.
