Hainan's city of Sanya developing new cruise ship routes

According to Hainan Daily, the Sanya Central Business District (CBD) and Shanghai Blue Dream International Cruise have signed a cooperation agreement on cruise routes

HAIKOU, China, May 29. /TASS/. The Central Business District (CBD) of Sanya, a city in southern China's Hainan Province, is collaborating with a partner company to develop new international cruise ship routes.

The newspaper reports that Sanya CBD and Shanghai Blue Dream International Cruise recently signed an agreement to collaborate on cruise routes. In the near future, they intend to develop several international cruise routes from Sanya that will be operated by the Blue Dream Melody liner from the fourth quarter of 2025 to the first quarter of 2026. At least ten voyages are planned to popular tourist destinations, including Hong Kong and Southeast Asian countries.

The parties have also agreed to strategic cooperation for the next three years, focusing on developing cruise routes, optimizing services, and jointly building an industry ecosystem.

The administration of the Sanya Central Business District is currently revising measures to support the development of the cruise, yachting, and shipping industries.

This policy aims to support the construction of an international cruise route network, deepen strategic cooperation with cruise companies, and promote the development of an experimental cruise tourism zone.
