KAZAN, April 13. /TASS/. The Supreme Court of Russia’s Tatarstan republic sentenced school shooter Ilnaz Galyaviyev to life imprisonment, TASS reported from the courtroom on Thursday.

The court sentenced Galyaviyev to life imprisonment in a special regime penal colony.

On March 11, 2021, Ilnaz Galyaviev, a graduate of Public School №·175 in Kazan, went on a shooting spree at his former school. Seven children and two adults were killed in the attack. In total, 667 people were recognized as victims in the case. Galyaviev pleaded guilty in court.
