MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Telegram and YouTube are the leaders in terms of the amount of destructive information disseminated among users, Yekaterina Mizulina, Safe Internet League director, said on Tuesday.

"In spite of the active measures taken by the government last year, destructive information continues to be spread among children and young people. The leaders here are the Telegram and YouTube foreign platforms. In the current situation, it looks like any kind of moderation of this dangerous content is completely lacking on these platforms," she said.

As an example, she cited an experiment carried out by the League’s volunteers, who had been sending more than 1,000 complaints to one and the same publication for several days but the Telegram support service responded to none of them.

Apart from that, according to Mizulina, a large number of violations have been reported on the Twitch platform.

"Roskomnadzor (Russia’s mass media watchdog - TASS) must build a closer dialogue with these platforms and inform them about the inadmissibility of violating laws. <…> The Safe Internet League has drafted a motion to the Federal Antimonopoly Service and Roskomnadzor over the illegal activities of a number of bloggers on Twitch and YouTube," she added.
