ROME, February 25 (Itar-Tass) – The centre-left Democratic Party and its candidate for premiership Pier Luigi Bersani are leading the parliamentary polls in Italy.
Exit polls indicate that the centre-left have received 34.5 percent of votes and their opponents from the centre-right coalition led by Silvio Berlusconi 29 percent.
They are followed by the Five Star Movement with 19 percent, which has edged Mario Monti’s Civic Choice with 9.5 percent.
