Ukraine’s army attacks Russia’s Belgorod Region with over 170 munitions in past day

In the Belgorodsky district, the settlement of Dubovoye, the villages of Solntsevka, Ustinka, Cheremoshnoye and Yasniye Zory came under the shelling of nine munitions and an attack by five drones

BELGOROD, March 25. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military attacked six districts of Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region with 173 munitions and 53 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the last 24 hours, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.

"In the Krasnoyaruzhsky district, the settlement of Prilesye, the villages of Grafovka, Demidovka, Nadezhevka and Popovka came under 20 bombardments by 149 munitions and attacks by 29 drones, of which 14 were shot down. There are no consequences," the governor wrote.

During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian military attacked the Graivoronsky district with eight munitions and eight drones, setting several houses on fire after dropping explosives from a drone in the village of Kozinka late in the evening. The Shebekinsky district came under a bombardment by three shells and an attack by six Ukrainian UAVs, which damaged a multistory building, a social facility and four cars, he specified.

In the Belgorodsky district, the settlement of Dubovoye, the villages of Solntsevka, Ustinka, Cheremoshnoye and Yasniye Zory came under the shelling of nine munitions and an attack by five drones, which damaged the Church of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and an agribusiness building in the village of Yasniye Zory, a private household, an outbuilding and an electricity transmission line in the village of Cheremoshnoye. The Volokonovsky district came under an attack by four munitions, in which an outbuilding was destroyed by ensuing fire after a direct hit by one of the shells, he specified.

"Five drones were suppressed over the Valuisky municipal district, with no consequences," the governor wrote.
