MELITOPOL, March 19. /TASS/. Russian forces have advanced and freed over 12 square kilometers of territory at the junction of the administrative borders of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk Regions, Chairman of Russia’s Civic Chamber Commission on Sovereignty, Patriotic Projects and Veteran Support Vladimir Rogov told TASS on Wednesday.
"In the area of Burlatskoye, our troops have liberated over 5 sq. km north and northeast towards Skudnoye and Dneproenergiya. East of these two settlements, about 7.5 sq. km have been liberated near the village of Razdolnoye. The successes at the junction of three regions: the DPR, the Zaporozhye and Dnepropetrovsk Regions have amounted to about 12.5 sq. km," the politician said.
Russia’s Defense Ministry reported on March 1 that the Battlegroup East had liberated the settlements of Burlatskoye and Skudnoye in the Donetsk People’s Republic. Rogov told TASS on March 12 that Russian forces had pushed Ukrainian troops out of the settlement of Dneproenergiya.
