Indonesian president accepts Putin's invitation to come to Russia — Shoigu

According to the secretary of the Russian Security Council, Russia helped Indonesia train more than 6,800 military officers throughout the years

JAKARTA, February 25. /TASS/. Indonesian leader Prabowo Subianto has accepted Russian President Vladimir Putin's invitation to come to Russia, said Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu.

"I conveyed the president's message, which also included an invitation to our country. It was accepted with pleasure, and I think it will further strengthen relations between our countries," Shoigu said.

"This year we are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic relations, and it is noteworthy that the contribution of both the Soviet Union and Russia to the development of the economy, education, and many, many other areas is remembered here."

According to him, Russia has helped Indonesia train more than 6,800 military officers throughout the years.

"This work continues. It has strong potential and promising prospects," he added.
