MOSCOW, October 27. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed a defense enterprise in the Dnepropetrovsk Region that produced missile solid propellant, explosives and gunpowder for the Ukrainian army, Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant-General Igor Konashenkov reported on Thursday.
"In the area of the city of Pavlograd in the Dnepropetrovsk Region, a Ukrainian defense enterprise for the production of missile solid propellant, explosives and gunpowder for the Ukrainian army was destroyed," the spokesman said.
Russian operational-tactical and army aviation aircraft, missile and artillery troops destroyed four Ukrainian army command posts near the communities of Stepovaya Novoselovka in the Kharkov Region, Kolodezi in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Trifonovka and Andreyevka in the Kherson Region, and also 62 artillery units at firing positions, manpower and military equipment in 186 areas, the general said.
Russian forces thwarted attempts by a Ukrainian battalion tactical group to advance in the Krasny Liman area, eliminating over 120 militants, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Krasny Liman direction, a battalion tactical group of the Ukrainian army made attempts to advance towards the settlement of Chervonopopovka in the Lugansk People’s Republic. The advancing enemy units were stopped by active operations of Russian troops," the spokesman said.
Russian forces destroyed over 120 Ukrainian troops, three tanks, four combat armored vehicles and four pickup trucks in that area, the general specified.
Russian forces repelled attacks by Ukrainian troops reinforced by mercenaries in the Kupyansk area in the Kharkov Region, eliminating about 60 militants, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Kupyansk direction, up to two enemy company tactical groups reinforced by mercenaries attacked the positions of Russian units in the area of the settlements of Nikolayevka and Orlyanka in the Kharkov Region. All the attacks were repelled," the spokesman said.
Russian forces "destroyed up to 60 Ukrainian troops and mercenaries, one tank, six combat armored vehicles and three pickup trucks," the general specified.
Russian forces pushed Ukrainian army units back to their initial positions in the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog area, eliminating over 60 militants, Konashenkov reported.
"In the Nikolayev-Krivoi Rog direction, two reinforced company tactical groups of the Ukrainian army attacked the positions of Russian troops in the areas of the settlements of Malaya Aleksandrovka in the Kherson Region and Ternoviye Pody in the Nikolayev Region. The advance was disrupted by inflicting damage on the enemy by firepower. The Ukrainian army units were pushed back to initial positions," the spokesman said.
During the combat, Russian forces destroyed over 60 Ukrainian militants, six combat armored vehicles and seven motor vehicles, the general specified.
Russian troops shot down a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force in the Zaporozhye Region, Konashenkov reported.
"In the area of the settlement of Novotroitskoye in the Zaporozhye Region, a Mi-8 helicopter of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down," the spokesman said.
Russian air defense forces shot down four Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles and six American HIMARS rockets in the past day in the special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
"In the past 24 hours, air defense capabilities destroyed four unmanned aerial vehicles in the areas of the settlements of Olgovka, Tyaginka and Lvovo in the Kherson Region and Zelyony Gai in the Donetsk People’s Republic. In addition, they shot down six rockets of the American HIMARS multiple launch rocket system near the community of Antonovka in the Kherson Region," the spokesman said.
In all, the Russian Armed Forces have destroyed 326 Ukrainian military aircraft, 163 helicopters, 2,353 unmanned aerial vehicles, 383 surface-to-air missile systems, 6,104 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 876 multiple rocket launchers, 3,531 field artillery guns and mortars and 6,805 special military motor vehicles since the beginning of their special military operation in Ukraine, Konashenkov reported.
