It has become clear to everyone what the high courts in the European capitals and Western jurisdictions were really worth, where businesses were trying to hide something, Russian President Vladimir Putin told a congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP).
"We must admit that these mechanisms had barely worked before, I mean those proposed by our so-called Western partners. But now the covers have completely fallen off, as they say, and it has become evident to everyone what the various high courts in the European capitals, Western jurisdictions, where many sought to hide in, are worth. We can even hide things there ourselves, quietly," Putin said.
"That's it, there's nothing of the kind, nothing of the kind. And there are no secret jurisdictions."
