Russia’s manufacturing PMI index down to 50.8 points in December — S&P Global

Also, softer overall demand conditions and material shortages made companies reduce the pace of production growth in the last month of 2024, according to S&P Global

MOSCOW, December 27. /TASS/. Russia’s Manufacturing Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) decreased to 50.8 points in December 2024 from 51.3 points in the previous month, the S&P Global analytical agency said in a report.

"Although slowing for a second month running, the rate of new export order growth outpaced that of total new sales. Greater business with neighboring countries boosted new sales from abroad, which increased for a fifth month running," the study says.

Also, softer overall demand conditions and material shortages made companies reduce the pace of production growth in the last month of 2024, according to S&P Global.

The PMI value above 50 points is indicative of the business activity growth and the value below the said level flags its slowdown.
