MOSCOW, March 23. /TASS/. Russian government will provide adequate response to unfriendly actions towards seagoing vessels travelling under Russian flag, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said during President Vladimir Putin’s meeting with the government Wednesday.
"The restrictions have also affected seagoing vessels travelling under Russian flag: they are barred from entering foreign ports," the Prime Minister noted.
"Of course, we will not leave such unfriendly actions without response, the government will introduce adequate restrictions," Mishustin said, adding that "a corresponding order has already been signed."
On Tuesday, Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte announced that the Baltic States will contact the European Commission on the issue of developing a single EU decision to close sea ports for ships travelling under Russian flag. Should the European community refrain from such measure, the Baltic States will act on their own, the Prime Minister said.
