Top Russian security official sees Moscow-Beijing relations as pillar of global politics

Shoigu arrived in China on a working trip on Monday

BEIJING, November 12. /TASS/. Bilateral relations between Moscow and Beijing are one of the pillars of global politics and security, as well as a factor of global stability, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi.

"First of all, I would like to congratulate you and the friendly people of China on the anniversaries that are being marked this year, that is, the 75th anniversaries of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries. Over the past three quarters of a century, China has made outstanding achievements, while our bilateral relations have become one of the pillars of global politics and security, as well as the main factor of stability in international affairs," Shoigu said.

Shoigu arrived in China on a working trip on Monday. He is expected to hold meetings with the country’s top political leadership.
