South Ukraine NPP halts three reactors in emergency measure — report

KIEV, November 23. /TASS/. The South Ukraine nuclear power plant has halted three reactors in an emergency measure, the Ukrainian news outlet Dumskaya said on Tuesday.

An air raid warning is now in effect across all of Ukraine.

There has been no official confirmation of the stoppage.

The South Ukraine NPP, built in 1975-1982, sits on the bank of the Southern Bug River in the city of Yuzhnoukrainsk of the Nikolayev Region.

As of the start of 2022, Ukraine had four active NPPs with a total of 15 reactors and installed capacity of 13.88 GWt. The Zaporozhskaya NPP has been under the protection of Russian troops since March 2022.
