Putin does not take part at UN Climate Change Conference to be held in Egypt in November

The conference to be held in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh on November 6-18

MOSCOW, October 6. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin is not planning to attend the 27th UN Climate Change Conference, which will be held in Egypt in November, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"No, he does not plan to," the Kremlin spokesman said in reply to a corresponding question.

The conference will be held in Egypt's Sharm El Sheikh on November 6-18. It was earlier reported that the Russian delegation would be headed by Special Presidential Envoy for Climate Change Ruslan Edelgeriev. As Edelgeriev previously told TASS, declarations on climate change adaptation are expected to be discussed at the upcoming conference. The Russian delegation hopes for a positive outcome of the conference, but expects provocations and is ready for them.
