Russian ambassador sees no perspectives for Russian-US cyber security dialogue

Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov said that Moscow and Washington began closed consultations on cyber security following the Geneva summit

MOSCOW, June 8. /TASS/. The Russian-US dialogue on cyber security has been suspended with no perspectives for resumption at the moment, Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov has told Russia’s Channel One.

"At present, I see no perspectives for resuming this necessary, useful and mutually beneficial dialogue between the US and Russia," he told the Bolshaya Igra (Big Game) show on Tuesday night.

Ambassador said that Moscow and Washington began closed consultations on cyber security following the Geneva summit.

"There were even first indications that practical results can be achieved," he said. "However, we are back to Cold War times: Russia is blamed for everything, Russia is attacking everyone, Russia must be deterred or, even better, destroyed.".
