Russian MFA says US State Department produces disinformation regarding Mariupol

Maria Zakharova stressed the State Department didn’t care about the fate of people at Azovstal in Mariupol as it didn’t want peace for Ukraine

MOSCOW, April 22. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova on Friday said the US State Department is disseminating disinformation regarding Mariupol.

She said Ned Price, the head of the State Department’s press office, a few hours ago had described the Russian Defense Ministry’s report on seizing Mariupol as disinformation and a show.

"The US State Department is well aware about shows," Zakharova said. "It’s obvious from what’s happening at the White House."

"To be serious, I think we need to be serious at moments like this, it’s the State Department that does disinformation," she went on to say.

Zakharova said the State Department didn’t care about the fate of people at Azovstal in Mariupol as it didn’t want peace for Ukraine.
