Gazprom Export to suspend gas supplies to Dutch Gasterra from May 31

Gasterra said earlier it decided not to comply with Gazprom’s requirements to pay for supplied gas in Russian rubles

MOSCOW, May 30. /TASS/. Gazprom Export will suspend gas supplies to the Dutch gas trader Gasterra in view of failure to pay for gas supplied in April and the refusal to pay in Rubles, the Russian gas export company said.

"Gazprom Export did not receive the payment for gas deliveries in April as of the close of business of May 30 (the due date stipulated in the contract). In this regard, Gazprom Export notified Gasterra about suspension of gas supplies from May 31, 2002 and until the moment of payment in accordance with the procedure" set by the executive order of the Russian President, the company said.

Gasterra said earlier it decided not to comply with Gazprom’s requirements to pay for supplied gas in Russian rubles.

According to the Russian customs service, Russia exported about 6.7 bln cubic meters of natural gas to the Netherlands in 2021.
