VLADIVOSTOK, October 24 (Itar-Tass) — Around 57,000 residents of Yakutia used the government-subsidized plane tickets to fly from the Far East to European Russia from the beginning of the year, the press service of the republic’s Transport Ministry said on Monday.
A basic fare en route Yakutsk-Moscow is 25,000 roubles (around $800), while a subsidized fare comprised 8,250 roubles (around $270).
The Russian government adopted a program of subsidized fares for residents of the Far East back in 2009.
