SOCHI, October 26./TASS/. The majority of Russians polled, about 80%, believe that the situation in Russia will improve in eight to ten years, the director general of the nation’s leading polling agency, Valery Fedorov, said on Wednesday.

"The results of the survey on how our fellow countrymen see Russia in eight to ten years, [show] that about 80% are confident that the situation will improve or will improve significantly," the head of the Russian Public Opinion Research Center told an all-Russia research-to-practice conference on social sciences in the Black Sea resort of Sochi.

Only 16% believe the situation is likely to worsen, or will worsen significantly, he added.
