US, allies agree to review price cap on Russian oil products in March — statement

The Deputies agreed to undertake a review of the level of the crude price cap in March, the Department’s statement reads

WASHIGNTON, January 21. /TASS/. Representatives of the so-called Price Cap Coalition agreed to review the price cap on Russian oil products in March with consideration of potential market changes after the price cap is imposed in February, the US Department of the Treasury announced after Deputy Secretary Adewale Adeyemo’s meeting with counterparts with Coalition states Friday.

"The Deputies agreed to undertake a review of the level of the crude price cap in March," the Department’s statement reads.

According to the Department, this "will allow the Coalition to take into account developments in global markets after the refined products caps are implemented," and will allow "the Coalition to be briefed on the results of the EU’s technical review of the crude price cap.".
