MOSCOW, April 3. /TASS/. Russian forces destroyed five Ukrainian subversive/reconnaissance groups in the Kupyansk area over the past day during the special military operation in Ukraine, Spokesman for Russia’s Battlegroup West Sergey Zybinsky reported on Monday.

"Throughout the day, troops from the western battlegroup uncovered and destroyed five enemy subversive/reconnaissance groups from the 14th mechanized, 105th and 115th territorial defense brigades while artillery fire thwarted four rotations of Ukrainian army units at forward positions near the settlements of Sinkovka, Krakhmalnoye and Orlyanskoye," the spokesman said.

In the area of the settlement of Stelmakhovka, a reconnaissance group from a Russian special operations brigade detected and destroyed two enemy shelters by artillery fire from a 2S4 Tyulpan self-propelled mortar. In addition, the team of a Russian Grad multiple rocket launcher destroyed an enemy mortar team near the settlement of Sinkovka, the spokesman said.
