Ukraine to try to seize Zaporozhye NPP to keep attacking Dnieper’s left bank — authorities

In addition, Vladimir Rogov stressed that this is how the Kiev authorities want to solve their energy issues

MOSCOW, October 17. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces want to seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in order to keep the settlements on the left bank of the Dnieper River under attack, Vladimir Rogov, chairman of the 'We Together with Russia' movement, said on Monday.

He stresses that the Ukrainian military now has two goals. "The first is to seize Kherson and capture the entire right-bank zone controlled by our country at the moment. The second step is to seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant to keep the left bank under attack in order to engage in nuclear terrorism," he said on the air of the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio station.

In addition, Rogov stressed that this is how the Kiev authorities want to solve their energy issues. "[They want] to set up electricity supplies to the right bank controlled by the Zelensky regime, because they have a cold winter ahead with big problems in the energy sector, with heating, with other issues, and they can only solve these problems by receiving large amounts of electricity or any other energy source," he added.

Earlier, Rogov said that Ukraine had moved over 450 Special Operations servicemen to the Zaporozhye Region to participate in combat operations. According to his information, up to five units of 100-110 men in full gear, practiced the transfer of troops across the Dnieper, using strike and reconnaissance drones, including Bayraktar TB2. The official stressed that these actions indicated that the Ukrainian armed forces had not abandoned their plans to seize the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant.
