MOSCOW, February 9 (Itar-Tass) — Foreigners are involved in Moscow’s every seventh murder and every third sexual assault, head of Moscow’s branch of Russia’s Investigative Committee Vadim Yakovenko told a board meeting of the committee devoted to results of 2011.
“Despite the general decline of crimes, the number of felonies committed by foreigners in Moscow grew by twelve percent,” he said on Thursday.
“Every seventh murder and every third raping in 2011 was committed by foreigners, mostly by those who arrived from former republics of the Soviet Union,” he reported. “The visitors commit over half the murders and two thirds of sexual assaults.”
