MOSCOW, April 13. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) apprehended a supporter of the Islamic State (IS) international terrorist organization (outlawed in Russia) in the Stavropol Region who plotted a terror attack on a transport infrastructure facility, the FSB press office told TASS on Wednesday.

"The Federal Security Service uncovered and foiled on the territory of the Stavropol Region the activity of a local resident and a supporter of the Islamic State international terrorist organization who plotted on an instruction from IS foreign emissaries a terror act at one of the region’s transport infrastructure facilities," the press office said.

The suspect was apprehended while plotting the terror attack, the FSB specified.

Investigators have opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 30 and Part 2 of Article 205 of Russia’s Criminal Code ("Attempt of a Terror Act’), the FSB press office said.
