Hainan sets up center for cultural exchanges and trade in fine art

The international center for cultural exchanges and works of art is one of the most important projects of the Hainan free trade port program

HAIKOU, June 23. /TASS/. International Center for Cultural Exchanges and Works of Art has begun operations in the southern Chinese province of Hainan. This, as www.hinews.cn reported on Wednesday, was announced at a recent Chinese conference on the development of culture and museum industry in Haikou.

The center brings together eight platforms, including international online art trade, offline art trade, tracking, finance, big data, arbitration, and logistics. All this will allow the provision of trade services at various stages of the global chain of the culture and arts industry.

During the conference, said center has already signed cooperation agreements with ten organizations, including the Institute of Software at the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The event was important in promoting the entire cultural industry on Hainan, building a national base for foreign art trade, and promoting international tourism and consumption in the province.
