Russia ready to make advances to Kazakhstan in coal exports — Putin

Bilateral cooperation in the energy sector is being developed, the Russian leader noted

MOSCOW, November 9. /TASS/. Russia is ready to develop cooperation with Kazakhstan in coal supplies, President Vladimir Putin said after bilateral talks.

"Bilateral cooperation in the energy sector is being developed. Our country is importing Kazakh coal, making mutual supplies of electric power, and coal transit - we also discussed it; issues are in place requiring certain coordination and clarification of figures. We are ready to make advances to Kazakh friends," the President said.

The bulk of Kazakh oil transit to international market is going through Russia and Russian oil is pumped to China over the territory of Kazakhstan, the Russian leader added.
