Russian fashion industry increasingly active in Kazakhstan’s market

The Russian fashion industry has growing interest in the Kazakhstan’s market, Kirill Karlov said

ALMATY, March 10. /TASS/. The Russian fashion industry and the light industry on the whole are becoming increasingly active in the market of Kazakhstan, as evidenced by more prepared participation of Russia in the 35th Central Asia Fashion exhibition opened on Monday, spokesman of the Russian Trade Mission in Kazakhstan Kirill Karlov told TASS.

"The [Russian] business at large has greater presence at the exhibition. We can say that this is the commercially explored approach of the market of Kazakhstan thus far. In other words, Russian companies entering [the Kazakhstan’s market] have more clear vision of Kazakh partners, with whom they need to work, and whom they need to find for further connections," Karlov said. "The geography of the exhibition is broadening and the professionalism of participants, so to say, is growing also. We see this in the business program and even in the opening ceremony held," he noted.

The Russian fashion industry has growing interest in the Kazakhstan’s market, the spokesman said. "We take note of that every year. In other words, it is growing continuously in terms of the number of applications we receive," Karlov said. This is also characteristic of cooperation between the two countries in the light industry sector, he noted. "The number of upsides we receive to increase the pace of [bilateral] cooperation in the industry is above the number of restrictions Russian exporters may face," the trade mission’s spokesman said. Russia "has all the instruments to work" in the market of Kazakhstan, he added.
