BERLIN, July 29. /TASS/. Boeing, which manufactures seeker heads for PAC-3 missiles of the Patriot air defense system, is unlikely to grant Ukraine a license for their production, according to a report by Die Welt television correspondent Christoph Wanner.
US President Donald Trump had previously stated that Washington would transfer to Kiev a license for the production of Patriot surface-to-air missile systems. Wanner noted that Boeing does not transfer licenses for the production of Patriot seeker heads to third countries, which could throw a wrench in those plans. Furthermore, to establish production, supply chains and factories need to be built. This process will take a long time, the report states. In addition, PAC-3 missiles are needed by the United States itself.
Earlier, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz stated on RMF FM radio that Ukraine's production of Patriot missiles under a US license could be set up in Poland for security reasons.
