MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Annual inflation in Russia from January 28 to February 3 slowed down to 9.92% from 9.95% a week earlier, the Ministry of Economic Development said.
"In the week from January 28 to February 3, inflation slowed down to 0.16%. In the food sector, the rate of price growth decreased to 0.27%. The growth of food prices excluding fruits and vegetables slowed down to 0.23%, and prices for fruits and vegetables changed by 0.75%. In the non-food sector, prices did not change in the reporting week - prices for electrical and household appliances continued to decline. In the services sector, price growth slowed down to 0.19%. As of February 3, the annual inflation rate was 9.92%," the ministry said.
The Ministry of Economic Development expects that in 2025 inflation will stabilize at 4.5%, and in 2026-2027 the figure will reach 4%.
In turn, the Russian State Statistics Service (Rosstat) reported that inflation in Russia for the period from January 28 to February 3, 2025, reached 0.16%. A week earlier, from January 21 to January 27, 2025, inflation amounted to 0.22%. Since the beginning of February, consumer prices in Russia have increased by 0.07% and by 1.3% since the beginning of the year, Rosstat said.
