MOSCOW, December 25. /TASS/. Donald Trump’s presidency could bring changes to the global economy, but Russia must safeguard its citizens from any negative effects, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov told Rossiya-24 in an interview.

"The arrival of Trump or any other foreign leader may influence the global economic landscape and potentially impact Russia," Siluanov stated.

"However, our priority is to ensure that our citizens remain unaffected. Everything we’ve planned will be implemented," he asserted.

The Republican candidate secured sufficient Electoral College votes in the November 5 presidential election, according to state-by-state vote counts. The US Congress is expected to certify the election results on January 6, 2025, and Trump will take office as the 47th president of the United States on January 20, 2025.
