Russian households’ inflation expectations up to 13.9% in December from 13.4% in November

The observed inflation grew to 15.9% in December

MOSCOW, December 18. /TASS/. Russian households’ inflation expectations grew to 13.9% per annum in December from 13.4% in November, according to the latest survey by InFOM for the Bank of Russia.

In October, same as in November, households’ inflation expectations totaled 13.4%, while in September they equaled 12.5%, which is lower than in August (12.9%) and slightly higher than in July (12.4%).

Meanwhile observed inflation grew to 15.9% in December, in November it totaled 15.3%, and in September it amounted to 14.4%.

Observed inflation rose to 14.4% in December from 13.9% in November among those having savings and to 16.9% from 16.3% among those having no savings.

The survey was held from December 2 to 12, 2024 among at least 2,000 adult respondents in 105 settlements in 55 Russian regions.
