Asia's economies likely to grow 4.5% in 2024

BOAO /China/, March 26. /TASS/. The GDP growth rate of Asian countries in 2024 may reach about 4.5%. This forecast is given by the Asian Economic Outlook and Integration Progress Annual Report 2024, distributed on the first day of the BoaoForum for Asia (BFA) held in Hainan.

The document states that the Asia-Pacific nations "will continue to develop despite external challenges." In 2023, the respectiverate of their development reached 4.3%.

"In the field of economy, Asian countries are expected to maintain relatively high growth rates," the report emphasizes.

The Boao Forum for Asia 2024 will be held from March 26-29 under the theme "Asia and the World: Shared Challenges, Shared Responsibilities." The Russian side is represented at the forum by Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk and Russian Ambassador to Beijing Igor Morgulov. The Boao Forum for Asia is called the Eastern Davos; it is an important platform for signing important agreements, coordinating positions between representatives of business and government circles of Asian countries and all other regions of the world.
