Tatneft, together with Kazakh partners, plans to produce rubber in Kazakhstan

KAZAN, April 5. /TASS/. PJSC Tatneft and partners from Kazakhstan plan to start joint rubber production in the republic, the press service of the President of Tatarstan reported.

Tatneft, together with Kazakh partners, plans to produce rubber in Kazakhstan. An agreement on this was signed today with JSC NC Kazmunaygas in the presence of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin and President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The plant's capacity, which is planned to be implemented by 2025, will amount to 186,000 tonnes of butadiene rubbers and 170,000 tonnes of isobutane. The plant will employ 400 people," the message reads.

An agreement of intent was signed in Kazan as well to implement a project to organize the production of road bitumen with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year in Kazakhstan. It was signed by Nail Maganov, General Director of PJSC Tatneft, and Beibut Atamkulov, Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan.

The main shareholder of Tatneft is the Republic of Tatarstan, which owns over 36% of the company's shares. About 3% are treasury shares, 25.75% are placed in ADR. Other shareholders own 34% of the shares.
