MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. Political and national hatred towards the Russian-speaking population is the primary reason behind the Ukrainian military's crimes against civilians, Russia’s Investigative Committee Head Alexander Bastrykin said in an interview with TASS.
"Evidence collected shows that, aside from obeying orders from senior commanders and officials, the motive for the crimes is political and national hatred and antagonism towards the Russian-speaking population," he said.
Bastrykin pointed out that Ukrainian militants' shelling of civilian infrastructure with explosive devices, firearms, and light weapons, mostly of foreign manufacture, results in numerous civilian casualties.
