Two Ukrainian air-launched shells hit village in Bryansk Region — governor

MOSCOW, April 30. /TASS/. Two air-launched rockets hit the settlement of Zhecha in the Starodubsky district of the Bryansk Region bordering on Ukraine while Russia’s air defenses were at work to prevent a Ukrainian combat aircraft from entering Russian airspace, there are no victims, Regional Governor Alexander Bogomaz wrote on his Telegram on Saturday.

"Today, at 06:50, Russian air defense systems spotted a Ukrainian combat aircraft. While measures were underway to prevent the target from entering Russian territory, two shells hit the settlement of Zhecha of the Starodubsky district," the statement reads.

No one was hurt in the incident, he said.

Oil loading facilities were damaged by a blast wave in the Ukrainian air strike on the Bryansk Region, the governor said.

"A blast wave damaged the casing of the oil loading terminal’s technological buildings. The second shell damaged the adjacent territory," he said.

The settlement of Zhecha is located 55 km from the border with Ukraine. The Starodubsky district borders on Ukraine’s Chernigov region.
