MEXICO CITY, October 11. /TASS/. At least 24 people died in Mexico as heavy rains damaged thousands of homes, and triggered landslides and power outages in the states of Hidalgo and Veracruz, N+ TV channel reported.
Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum held a virtual meeting with the governors of the states and departmental officials to discuss the emergency situation.
"We are working to support the people, build roads and restore electricity supply," Sheinbaum said on X.
