JAKARTA, February 25. /TASS/. The Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Sergey Shoigu, has called on the Indonesian authorities to collaborate proactively on cyber security issues. Shoigu is currently in Jakarta for a working visit, where he noted that his discussions with Indonesian officials included topics such as illegal migration and drug trafficking.
"Our counterparts from the Foreign Ministry and the Federal Security Service were engaged in discussing these matters, among others. A significant concern is the emerging threat in the realm of cyber security, which is gaining momentum. The danger is unmistakable. Naturally, I believe we must be as active as possible to avoid finding ourselves in a situation where we are left vulnerable. It is crucial that we take proactive measures today, fully aware of the challenges that await us tomorrow in this rapidly evolving field," Shoigu stated.
