Talks between Russian, Iranian leaders end after five hours — Kremlin spokesman

The conversation focused on bilateral and international issues, including the situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. The meeting in the Kremlin between the presidents of Russia and Iran, Vladimir Putin and Ebrahim Raisi, lasted for more than five hours and has just ended, the Russian president’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Thursday.

"Yes, it is over," the Russian leader’s spokesman told TASS.

The conversation focused on bilateral and international issues, including the situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict zone.

The talks concluded a series of Middle East-themed meetings that the Russian president held in the past 48 hours. On Wednesday, Putin visited Abu Dhabi and Riyadh, where he met with UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud.

Earlier on Thursday, the Russian leader met with Omani Crown Prince and Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports Theyazin Bin Haitham Al Said on the sidelines of the 14th VTB Investment Forum "Russia Calling!".
